Schools, Education, and the N.E.A.

I think we can all agree that education, in and of itself, is good.
Not only does a good education prepare us for the "working life" we all face,
but it gives us a foundation for everyday living. Education as a commodity
is a good thing. Education as an institution, on the other hand....well
that's an entirely different kettle of fish.
Yes, professional educators do teach, but what are they teaching our
kids, and why? In the last few years, we've seen those in education
assuming duties and liberties that are not theirs to assume, usurped rather than
having been conferred on them. These people, hired and paid with our
tax dollars to teach our children, take it upon themselves to do much else,
seemingly inexplicably in many cases until one examines the bigger picture and
the overbearing motivation of the humanist cabal.
And if you think teaching is time consuming,
look at everything else they've done:
 | they've banished both formal prayer
and the Pledge of Allegiance from our classrooms; |
 | they've handed out
condoms and questionable sex education material and practices to our children;
|
 | they search the kids on a daily basis for drugs and weapons, yet fail to protect
their charges when the need arises; |
 | they send our kids home for carrying aspirin
in their backpacks yet turn their backs on the at-risk kids who are a walking,
talking cry for help. |
And the final insult, my fellow Outragers, is that,
while they're performing these questionable duties, they're also convincing the
children of America that they (the children) are, in fact, the very center of
the universe, to be seen and heard, considered and consulted, and placed first
and foremost in all things. Every child a god unto himself or herself.
This bodes ill indeed for society and the future of the human race, my friends!
Then there's the NEA, National Education Association....an
organization whose agenda is driven by its fanatical devotion to secular humanism.
It is a frighteningly powerful
lobbying force that has and will continue not only to define the political landscape in
this country, but to be a landmark part of it. Education ain't for dummies, my friend, and the institution
that defines education bears watching. We've put the inmates in charge of
the asylum. Now it's time to insert a little adult supervision. Let
me know what you think. Shout out!
